This bolo depicts a teepee and it was done in an overlay style. It's all Sterling Silver with deep stamp work and the artisan has created an accurate picture of a typical teepee which would consist of a framework of poles covered in hides (later canvas), featuring adjustable smoke flaps at the top and a circular, small, low door for heat retention. A bottom gap and interior liner allowed air circulation, making them warm in winter and cool in summer.
