Roadrunner Cochiti Painted Drum

This is a handmade 12 inch diameter Cochiti drum hand painted by Jordan T (Torres) with a roadrunner. Roadrunners are often seen as a symbol of good luck, protection against evil spirits, and are revered for their speed and endurance, with their distinctive "X" shaped footprints considered a sacred symbol to ward off negativity; many tribes believe seeing a roadrunner is a positive sign and their tracks can guide lost travelers back to a path.
