Zuni bolo ties are special, but one crafted by Jonathan Beyuka who is from Zuni Pueblo and the son of Eddie Beyuka and Madeline Beyuka is extra special! Like his father, Jonathan is know for his Katsinas and dancers executed in channel inlay with a variety of materials-generally turquoise, mother of pearl, jet, coral, and others. This one is a Buffalo Dancer. The Buffalo Dance depicts the annual Native American ritual in which the bison would return, allowing for the hunt to begin that would feed and clothe the tribes.
