Bear with Heart Line

This soft sculpture was created by Peter Ray James, a Navajo artist.  He takes canvas, sews it together, stuffs it with fiberfill, paints it adding Native symbolism to it. In this way he is telling a story with each piece in addition to decorating it. To the uneducated in Native history, they are beautiful, but to those who understand the symbolism, they each have a unique story to tell. This piece is measures approximately 7.5 by 11 inches.
