Jordan Torres

Jordan T, Chiricahua Apache born and raised on the Mescalero Apache reservation in New Mexico, is a direct descendant of Cochise and his son Naiche. Cochise is well known along with Geronimo, another fierce warrior chief who once led the Apache people defending their homeland against the encroachment of early settlers into their territory.

Many of the images Jordan paints come to him in dreams but he doesn’t sketch them out before painting them. He gets an idea, gets ready to work on it and has stated that it’s almost as if he’s transported back in time. He feels as if he is there in that time and place and that he is meant to record it.
